Welcome, writer in English! Introducing in Het Veerhuis: our first Friday Morning Writing Café in English. Start your weekend in the write way and book your table at the cosiest writing table in town. Everybody who likes writing is welcome, experience or not.
Join us at the FriMoWriting Café
You go to a café for a drink or a cup of coffee, for company and good conversation. Our ‘writing café’ is much the same: you join in for inspiration, a good story, and pleasant company. At Het Veerhuis, it’s not about where commas and periods should go, nor is it about highbrow literary la-di-dah. It’s just about enjoying the act of writing; in your own personal way, at your own pace.
Anything goes
You’ll be given a writing prompt that offers you room for creative freedom. Your morning writing might turn into a short singular story, a poem, or a column. Or perhaps you can weave it into an existing writing project. Anything goes; you could even write in mirror image or backwards, as long as you head home with a brand-new piece of writing in hand.
